Listed below are some exciting counseling initiatives currently happening in each grade -
5th Grade - 5th grade students will complete three different activities on SmartFutures related to staying safe while working online, developing a positive work ethic while in the classroom or work place, and finding careers that are the perfect fit.
6th Grade - In addition to three different activities on SmartFutures, Junior Achievement BizTown is a popular learning experience offered to all 6th grade students that enables them to operate banks, manage restaurants, write checks and vote for a mayor. In doing so, they are connecting what they are learning in the classroom to the real-world.
7th Grade - On top of completing three different activities on SmartFutures, our 7th graders will participate in the Junior Achievement YES Program, which is a half-day program that enables young minds to gain appreciation for the importance that financial and career decisions will play throughout their lives.
8th Grade - 8th grade students, similar to 7th grade students, will also participate in the Junior Achievement YES Program. In addition to this, 8th graders will complete three different SmartFutures activities and take a field trip to CPACTC / Vo-Tech in Mechanicsburg, PA.
